A sitewide link is a link that appears across all subpages of a website. These links are often found in the footer, header, or within a widget box.
The challenge with sitewide links is the sheer volume! If you have sitewide links on a site with over 100,000 indexed pages, you’ll also have 100,000 external links with the same anchor text. This is why you should be cautious with this type of link – though it doesn’t mean you should avoid them entirely.
